Image Description:
This work is an exploration of cubic spatial subdivision. The underlying compositional framework for this piece is a logarithmic spiral. Cubes, each formed from a lattice of tiles with tiny spheres attached, follow the spiral in a clockwise rotational pattern.
Within each main cube is another, smaller cube, also formed from a lattice of tiles. The cubes within cubes utilize complementary colors to help the eye distinguish between the various complex layers of tiles.
