Hypercross
Limited Edition of 25
Image Description:
Within a dome made up of hundreds of golden metallic blocks this hypercross bears witness to the bloodstained history of mankind.
A hypercross results from one of several ways that you can unfold a four-dimensional tesseract (a hypercube) to expose its eight three-dimensional cubical faces. The golden dome is meant both to represent the arch of the heavens and to provide a somewhat cathedral-like feeling to the negative space. The hypercross itself, carved from eight solid digital-granite bloodstones, is viewed from below to magnify its visual impact and to make it appear larger than life. The entire scene uses a wide angle perspective to encompass the vastness of the composition within the limited image space.
